Trial Format

All nominees are asked to download the CIS Secondary Sports App at the time of nomination.   This is will ensure you have all the up to date  information regarding your sport and the Championship event.  

To access the App go to either the App store or Google Play and search for AISNSW, once downloaded enter the following event code:   secondary18.  Windows phone or PC users should open any browser and go to and insert the event code: secondary18

Then look for the golf icon

Strokeplay Championships:
8-9 May 2018 - The Championships are a 36 hole stroke event for both boys and girls. The draw for the day's play will be published on the CIS website as soon as it is available.

Tuesday 8 May  -Tuncurry Golf Club
Wednesday 9 May – Taree Golf Club

Players shall start at the time and in the order arranged, unless directed to do otherwise by the CIS Convener. 

Matchplay Championships -
NSWCIS is permitted to enter 2 boys and 2 girls into the NSW All Schools Matchplay competition which is a knockout format held on the Thursday 10 May and Friday 11 May (Tuncurry Golf Club), straight after the NSW All Schools Strokeplay Championships. Players will be selected for the matchplay based on the following criteria:

- The student has indicated availability in their nomination (on the website)

- Handicap of less than 3 (boys) and 10 (girls)

- Their scores in the 36 hole strokeplay event

- In the case of ties, preference will be given to players on a lower handicap, better matchplay record and the best 10 “away” rounds on golflink record.

Please note that for both the Strokeplay and Matchplay events students will be supervised whilst they are competing at the golf course.   Supervision once play is concluded for the day is the responsibility of the parents.  Students are asked to check in with the CIS Convenor on arrival and departure each day.

Parking available at the Golf Clubs

First Aid

Players should take precaution to avoid heat related conditions such as sunburn & heatstroke. Competitors must bring a hat and sunscreen. Plenty of fluid should be drunk throughout the day.

Asthmatics must carry their own asthma puffers at all times.

Dress regulations of the host club must be adhered to.

Food & Drink

Food and drink will be available for purchase at the clubhouse.

CIS Team

A NSWCIS Teams will be selected after the 36 hole NSW All Schools Strokeplay Championships. The top 4 CIS boys and girls (from the opens event) will make up the CIS team which contests the NSW All Schools Golf Championships to be held in June. The NSW All-schools convener may invite additional players at his discretion (usually players who come in the top 20).

Those players selected in the CIS Team will be required to attend a brief team meeting with the convenor/manager following the event so that organisational matters can be attended to.  Please note that there will be both uniform and levy costs associated with competing at the next level.     

Wet Weather

The golf will be held regardless of weather. In the case of storms, there may be a delay in play.  Players to ensure they have wet weather gear with them.
