Trial Format

Individual Selection Trial
Skills Session and Match Play followed by Possibles vs. Probables if needed.

All triallists are asked to download the CIS Primary AFL App prior to the trials.   This will ensure that you have all the up to date information you need  for your sport and the trials.   To access the App go to either the App store or Google Play and search for AISNSW, once downloaded enter the following event code:   primary18.   Look for the AFL icon.  

For windows phone or PC users, open any browser and go to / insert the event code:

Available at the oval.

First Aid
A qualified First Aider will be in attendance. Students that use asthma puffers or Epi – pens, to ensure they have them with them.


School Sports Uniform (jerseys will be provided). Mouthguards are compulsory. Bring your own sunscreen.


Food & Drink

No Canteen at the venue. Students  and staff are to bring their own snacks, lunch and water with them

CIS Team

22 students will be named in the CIS Team at the conclusion of the trial. These players will be required to stay after the trial to speak with CIS Team Management, try on uniform etc. Please note there will some costs associated with competing at the next level. Team members will be required to pay a players levy and uniform costs, these mandatory costs totalling approximately $400.  This team will go on to compete at the 2018 NSWPSSA AFL Championships to be held in Bateman’s Bay.


There is a pathway for secondary students that would like to referee at the NSWPSSA AFL Championships, and if selected, at the SSA Championships. Students need to be nominated as a referee to attend the CIS Primary Basketball trials on the 9 March so that they can be assessed/ selected to accompany the CIS Team.   The trial ensures that the student has the ability to referee at the PSSA level.
